“To love is good, too: love being difficult. For one human being to love another: that is perhaps the most difficult of all our tasks, the ultimate, the last test and proof, the work for which all other work is but preparation.”
― Rainer Maria Rilke
Welcome to my page…This is where I try out my writing skills…
the chasm between “I promise” and “im sorry” is where we ended up
I see you… I see your fear The fear of abandonment, unpredictablity, and abuse. The fear that you will be criticized, diminished, unappreciated, and forgotten. I see your misplaced loyalties, Loyalty to the ones that ignore your boundaries, to those that judge you, to the ones that manipulate you and take you for granted. I see your impulsivity I see the confusion, self loathing, and loss of control that comes with impetuous and hasty decisions I see your apprehension When you avoid intimacy, walk on eggshells, and evade the truth I feel your pain The pain of suppressing feelings, keeping secrets, feigning normalcy, and wrestling with depression, anxiety, and low self-esteem. I am you, we are sewn from the same cloth. We have become masters at manipulating, lying, destroying good relationships, and hanging on to the bad ones, because that’s all we know, you and I, it’s all we know. We live in a place together… yet so far apart…trying to make the best of every situation our pasts have forced us to create. I love you for exactly who you are.
